Readers of this blog should not be surprised that Global Warming is nothing more than a hoax. The lack of any real scienceinvolved in Global Warming was obvious by its absence. The aggressive silencing of dissenting views was equally persuasive. But the final nail in the coffin was the clear flow of money to certain Global Warming advocates: Al Gore, Goldman Sachs, et. al. Global Warming was, is, and always will be, a hoax.

For a chronological list of articles just this year alone on the Global Warming fraud can be found here.

For those that were duped by the media uproar of Global Warming over the last 15+ years, do not beat yourself up too badly. The take away from all this is something of great value: Always, always, always, always consider the source of what you read, hear or see. Everyone has motive, everything is opinion.

Let me reveal my motivation. I do not want to pay higher taxes, or see jobs flow out of this country to India or China just because Al Gore says so. I do not wish to watch my beloved country sink into an under-developing morass, trading our ingenuity and pioneering spirit for the approval of other nations.

And what about the motivations of the mainstream media? Strangely, they are eerily silent after Professor Phil Jones’ admission that there is no truth to Global Warming, especially given how strident they have been on this issue year after year. But is that really so strange? I don’t think so. Not when you consider that media stations like NBC and its sister stations are owned by GE. GE stands to make billions off of you and your fear of Global Warming. Michael Walsh has a great article on this media silence. Remember, this is the same mainstream media that blamed the blizzard that buried the east coast last week on Global Warming. In fact, they also blamed a lack of snow for the Olympics in Vancouver on Global Warming too. As the Heritage Foundation article put it, “Global Warming – Is There Anything It Can’t Do?”

If confronted by a Global Warming follower, you might hear that somehow the onus is on you to prove that Global Warming is false. They’re sort of right, but not really. Science works by putting forth a theory and then working hard to find evidence that disproves your own theory. So the onus is actually on them, the Global Warming advocates, to seek evidence to the contrary; this is the point of the white swans thought exercise (i.e., if all swans are believed to be white, finding one black swan disproves the theory). And then remind the Global Warming adherents that every time someone has compiled hard evidence that disproves Global Warming, they have been aggressively silenced or ignored by the mainstream media. And also remind them of Al Gore’s statements on this issue: “The debate is over.” That is not how science works.

Finally, do your own research. With today’s access to information, this is relatively simple with just a few minutes of time. Read both sides of any issue and always follow the money.

UPDATE: Phil Jones retreats further from Global Warming

“Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.” –George Washington

“A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned – this is the sum of good government.” –Thomas Jefferson

Our founding fathers were trying to warn us, their words echoing into our present. But are we listening? We would be wise to heed what they said lest we be doomed to repeat the history of those that came before us.

The liberals in power today proselytize about minorities and the under-privileged. They seek to resolve all of the wrongs of yesterday and today by creating government programs that, like Superman swooping in to save us all, will make everyone have the same opportunities.

In fact, their record shows just the opposite. They are, in fact, more aligned with big banks and the upper echelons of the labor unions, and have no interest in really helping the underlings on whose shoulders they stride. Their programs of welfare and handouts serve only to create a far larger group of people who will be more incentivized to suckle the government’s teats, whose milk comes from our hard work. The more who are unemployed, the more who are benefiting from government programs, the more that will vote for liberals to institute new government programs. All of this ensures that liberals will receive more and more votes.

They wish to eradicate the idea of “individual responsibility”, and along with it, “individual liberty”. That is what is behind the health care bill, the cap and trade bill, the stimulus bill, and more to come. They are trying to change our country as quickly as possible before they lose their majority, because they know that once a bill is passed into law, it is far harder, if not impossible, to undo it. And the sooner this country becomes one large mass who is dependent on the government for everything from breakfast to dinner, diapers to coffins, the more entrenched their party will become, until we are a single party government. A politburo, to be exact.

Allow me to show you, remembering all the while that it is small business that has been the backbone for our free market, introducing new ideas, new inventions, innovating past obstacles, and employing our workers:

Health Insurance Bill. Let’s start by making sure we are using the right terms. This is not about health care reform. All Americans have access to health care, some of the best health care in the world! If the liberals were serious about this, they would ignore the money that was being jammed into their wallets by lobbyists working for the lawyers, and begin with something that really matters. Talk to your doctor the next time you go in for a visit and say these two words: “tort reform.” When you are done ducking, you will understand their pain. Nor have the liberals addressed competition of insurance companies across all 50 states. This bill will raise taxes on everyone, threaten fines and jail for those that do not pay into the system, and force small companies to lay off people, increasing unemployment. Remember, small businesses will be the most hurt by this bill. And the major piece, the real sticking point, is that it will put a bureaucrat between you and your own freedom of choice. And yes, Wilson was right. Obama lied. The liberals want the illegal immigrants to be covered by this new health insurance bill. Why? That’s another piece to the puzzle, because by having this in the bill, illegals will continue to vote for liberals.

Allowing Felons to vote. Speaking of voting, several states, including Washington, are considering legislation that will let convicted felons vote. Why? Because these folks generally vote for liberals.

Maxine Waters. In 2008, Maxine Waters let slip what she is all about: socializing the oil companies (go to 1 minute into the video). Taking over the energy companies is crucial to the liberals’ plans. If we have to be dependent on the government for our own personal health and access to energy, we become slaves to the government.

Pelosi. Pelosi has become rather brazen lately. She has openly attacked Americans, you and me, for exercising our right to question those that serve us in elected office, and our right to protest decisions we don’t like. She might need to be reminded of what when on during Bush’s 8 years in office. When she became Speaker, she committed to have an open House of Representatives, and to ending slimy politics and corruption. Under her watch, sleazy deals have been negotiated for the health insurance bill. And it has been anything but open, isolating Republicans, even changing the locks on doors. Have you seen President Obama go to closed door meetings with the liberals. Are any Republicans allowed in? Any cameras? And with Rangel as chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, she looks silly. After all, he is being investigated by the House Ethics Committee for failing to report hundreds of thousands of dollars. How ironic?! If he were a Republican, the press would be having a field day with this one.

President Obama. Where to begin? He has endangered the security of this country. When the Christmas Day Bomber incident broke, it took him three days before he addressed the nation. Three days?! And it took him 3 or 4 speeches before he found the right tone. Closing Guantanamo Bay sends a strong signal to our enemies that we are weak. Mirandizing them sends an even stronger message that we aren’t willing to fight. Calling these attacks the work of ‘lone nuts’ and saying that we are not in a War against Terrorism defeats us before we even begin to fight. But the absolute worst thing Obama is doing now, the thing that will weaken us the most, is giving Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and others a criminal trial in New York City, costing that city hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars, insulting the innocent people that were killed on 9/11 and the families that survive them, and giving KSM a platform to voice his ridiculous propaganda. Clearly, as Cheney says in this interview, we have a precedent for a military trial. But no, instead we afford this horrible man, who admits to being the architect of 9/11, the rights reserved for our citizens, the very ones he plotted to kill. And all the while a Navy SEAL, who was charged with allegedly punching a terrorist he captured, basically a national hero, is being sent to Iraq for a trial there. How does this make any sense? And no, there are zero witnesses to corroborate the terrorist’s claim he was punched, but his claim is however, straight out of Al-Qaeda’s playbook.

President Obama Redux. It doesn’t end with national security. President Obama wants to pass a Cap and Trade Bill that will once again hit small businesses the hardest, and send millions of manufacturing jobs over to countries like India, Mexico and China, who have already said they will not follow Obama’s strict regulations on pollution. So, we lose jobs to other countries creating more unemployment, Goldman Sachs and other ‘fat cats’ make money off of companies trading off their excess pollution, and the overall pollution of the earth is not changed one iota. Hooray for Obama.

There’s more. Lots more. Tonight, I am hopeful that Scott Brown will be elected to Massachusetts’s open Senatorial seat, breaking the super-majority that the liberals have in the Congress. That may be enough to stop this monstrous health insurance bill, and maybe even the cap and trade disaster too.

Obama, Pelosi, Reid, they want to create a country where a small political elite lives well off the backs of everyone else. There will be no innovators. No awe-inspiring agendas like going to the moon. The U.S. dollar will descend into oblivion. We will no longer be a super power. With equal opportunity for everyone, comes equal results from all of us. Equal results. Nothing extraordinary.

We, all of us, need to take back this country. I see artists, musicians and actors wearing “Che” t-shirts, and now even “Mao” t-shirts. They clearly don’t know their history because both men would have these very same artists, musicians and actors be the first people executed if they were in power today. What’s a few more to the slaughter when you have killed 10 times the number of men, women and children that Hitler did?

If we do not study history, if we do not learn from those before us, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Now there’s evidence that the CRU at University of East Anglia was not alone in their efforts to manipulate the data and control the outcome of the “research” on global warming. James Delingpole describes in his article how the UK has cherry-picked the Russian data to ensure they got the desired results, instead of the following the data to wherever it leads:

“What the Russians are suggesting here, in other words, is that the entire global temperature record used by the IPCC to inform world government policy is a crock.” –James Delingpole

Clearly, ClimateGate is growing. And with its taint on the science, it becomes increasingly obvious that this is not about the temperatures of the earth, but about redistributing the wealth and the death of Capitalism.

And they’re not even hiding this fact. Hugo Chavez received a rousing standing ovation when he addressed the Copenhagen Climate talks. He channeled Karl Marx when he said that the “silent and terrible ghost” of capitalism is lurking in Copenhagen.

And for your comedic pleasure: Copenhagen receives its first white Christmas in fourteen years as a blizzard dumps snow on the Climate Talks.

Recently, ClimateGate revealed that many who work in the Climatology discipline have been blinded by greed, or blind faith akin to religion, or both, forsaking the pure pursuit of truth normally associated with scientists. I cannot help but be shocked by the disparity in the behavior of scientists in the Climatology discipline versus those in other disciplines like Physics, Astronomy, and Astrophysics.

Granted, there isn’t the money involved in these other disciplines as compared to Climatology, but really, this is shameful. Scientists should hold themselves to the highest standard, like Petr Horava.

In a recent article in the December 2009 issue of Scientific American about gravity, time and space, a new theory on gravity was discussed. The scientist proposing the new theory, Petr Horava, is a scientist at the University of California, Berkeley. The article works through his theory and describes other scientists who agree with it, and others who don’t. In fact, the article describes how one scientist, Diego Blas of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, has re-worked Horava’s theory. Horava’s response? He completely welcomes the changes:

“When I proposed this, I didn’t claim I had the final theory. I want other people to examine it and improve it.” –Petr Horava

Perhaps one day, real scientists who have the same attitude as Petr Horava will outnumber the pseudo-scientists currently dominating the Climatology discipline.

With the talks in Copenhagen wrapping up, there is chaos on the inside –poor nations walk out –and chaos on the outside –cops use tear gas on protestors.

And if that wasn’t enough, Al Gore couldn’t resist embarrassing himself… again. The last time he did this was when he stated that “the interior of the earth is extremely hot, several million degrees…” Most scientists agree that the earth’s core is around 5,000 degrees Fahrenheit, certainly less than 10,000 degrees. By contrast, the surface of the sun is 6,000 degrees. So, he was off by a factor of at least 100! Makes you wonder if he’s related to Nancy Pelosi who claimed we are losing 500 million jobs a month. Last I checked, there are about 350 million Americans total… uhm… legal Americans, that is.

With the aftermath of ClimateGate still rippling through the Copenhagen’s talks, Gore added to the lack of good science on the subject. His latest gaffe came this week when he said that the polar ice cap would have no summer ice within five to seven years. However, the scientist Gore was quoting disagrees, saying:

“It’s unclear to me how this figure was arrived at. I would never try to estimate likelihood at anything as exact as this.” –Dr. Wieslaw Maslowski

Ouch!

ClimateGate

EPA labeling carbon dioxide, a natural by-product of aerobic respiration, as “dangerous to the health and welfare of humans”

Protestors outside the Copenhagen talks

Poor nations walking out of the Copenhagen talks

Al Gore making outrageous claims

This is the true face of the global warming movement… Shame, shame, shame

The Hoax that is ClimateGate

As I have said before, just because Al Gore says the “debate is over,” doesn’t mean it’s so. In fact, scientists, real scientists, would hold that according to the Scientific Method, it is never over. That’s the whole point. I’ve discussed this before, but it is worth repeating. Science works by iterating and refining its take on reality, forever getting closer but never reaching the finish line. That’s because there’s always more to learn, new evidence to process, new ideas to debate.

Did Albert Einstein simply accept Sir Isaac Newton’s laws of gravity as the last word? Did Newton himself even pretend to say that the “debate was over” on how gravity works? It’s a good thing neither of them did. And it is what makes both of them intellectual giants. And it’s what makes Al Gore, well, insignificant, at best, in comparison.

Let’s set Al Gore and the money he makes from the global warming hoax aside. Instead, let’s focus on what happened recently with the security breach at the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit (CRU). What was revealed is what many have known for some time: global warming is not science, but religion. ClimateGate, as it is now known, has revealed the lengths some people will go to perpetrate a hoax. Andrew Bolt, an Australian journalist, provided an excellent overview of ClimateGate as it broke. He continues to examine ClimateGate today by highlighting a paper that concludes that the global warming hoax is just another scare –like the 26 before it.

In manipulating the data, scientists forfeited their integrity. In squashing opposing viewpoints, those in charge shrugged off ethics. In the end, the study of the earth’s climate was displaced from the high intensity light of science and moved to the murky darkness of suspicion and rumor.

Over the years, I have heard several scientists come forward to discuss what it was like to work in these research groups. They discussed why they felt compelled to leave and why others remained. As always, it came down to a battle of one’s individual ethics versus the lure of money and power.

This week, the Copenhagen Climate Conference began in light of all the damning evidence revealed by ClimateGate. Ironically, the U.N. estimates that during this 12 day conference, 40,584 tons of carbon dioxide will be produced. That’s equivalent to all of the CO2 emissions of Morocco during the entire year of 2006! This conference is not about the climate, mind you. It is once again about money.

Similarly, the EPA announced this week, with the consent of President Obama, that CO2 is now a danger to the health and welfare of the public. That’s us. We humans. The very ones that inhale oxygen and emit carbon dioxide. The same carbon dioxide that is inhaled by plants, which in turn emit oxygen. This symbiotic relationship between plants and animals is the way life on this planet has worked for billions and billions of years. Except now, the EPA has stepped in to educate us all on the dangers of carbon dioxide. This is not about science and fact. It is only about money. This move by the EPA will allow Obama to put pressure on Congress to pass the Cap and Trade bill (more on that in a moment).

The study of the earth’s climate is now tainted forever as we have lost years of raw data, we have seen scientists forsake their duty to uphold the Scientific Method, and we have seen those that try to stand up and blow the whistle be squashed and silenced. A glitch in a satellite study showed the polar ice caps shrinking dramatically, when in truth, they have not changed over much at all. Polar bears are supposedly on their way out, when in truth, their numbers have grown five-fold over the last thirty years.

Fight for the truth. Fight against the Cap and Trade bill, which, in Obama’s own words, will force your electric bill to necessarily skyrocket. Don’t let Obama redistribute our wealth and jobs out of this country and into the rest of the world. If he succeeds, the U.S.A. will sag into being nothing more than a third-world country. Stand up for science. Stand up for the truth.

During the 2008 Presidential Campaign, Obama said: “Judge me by the people who surround me.” If only the voters had done just that back then. Of course, we all heard about Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright, and we heard Obama distance himself from them, or try to anyway. Despite all that, Bill Ayers was certainly a friend, and there’s considerable evidence that he helped Obama write his book, Dreams from my Father. Jeremiah Wright was his pastor for 20 years. No one believes that Obama hadn’t heard any of Wright’s hateful speeches on America. But the people of this country voted for him anyway

Well, now that Obama has been in office for 9 months, let’s turn it around and see who he has surrounded himself with (the most important one is at the very end of this post!):

John Holdren – Science Czar: He has long been concerned with overpopulation. In 1973, he felt that the U.S. was already in danger of overpopulation, say that “210 million now is too many and 280 million in 2040 is likely to be much too many.” In 1977, he co-authored a book called “EcoScience” with Paul and Anne Ehrlich, in which he advocated forced sterilization. He has also advocated that we “de-develop” the United States, and has maintained that infants and the elderly are not ‘human’. He has yet to recant those viewpoints, or propose revised statements. Check out Michelle Malkin’s many articles on him.

Van Jones – Green Jobs Czar:A self-proclaimed Marxist, Van Jones has since resigned (on a Sunday morning at 12:01am in an effort to avoid a lot of press). Yet, President Obama and Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett seem quite enthralled with him when they chose him. Van Jones is a 9/11 trutherand signed a petition on September 12, 2001 calling for an investigation of then President Bush. He has made numerous racial remarks, like this one: “The white polluters and the white environmentalists are essentially steering poison into the people of color communities because they don’t have a racial justice frame.”

Anita Dunn – White House Communications Director: Recently, she held up Mao Tse Tung alongside Mother Teresaas her two favorite political philosophers. She tried to wave this off later, saying the juxtaposition of these two figures was a joke, but that’s hard to believe when she continues on discussing the history of Mao versus Chiang Kai Shek. And she plainly says that these are “…the two people I turn to most.” Really? Has she forgotten about the 40 million people he had killed during his reign over China? Is that really who she turns to when looking for a political philosopher? And she is the White House Communications Director. Great pick Obama.

Ron Bloom – Manufacturing Czar: Apparently, Ron Bloom does not believe in the free market system: “We know that the free market is nonsense.” And during the same speech, he quotes Mao Tse Tung: “We kind of agree with Mao that political power comes largely from the barrel of a gun.” Wow.

Cass Sunstein – Regulatory Czar: A Harvard law professor, she believes that animals have the right to legal representation. ‘Nuff said.

Mark Lloyd – FCC Diversity Officer: Mark Lloyd refers to Hugo Chavez’s takeover of Venezuela as an incredible revolution. Really?! More importantly considering his role, he is opposed to private ownership of media. In other words, he believes in state-run media.

There are others who have criminal records (adult criminal records, not juvenile criminal records that are sealed), and others with disturbingly extreme ideas.

What do all these people that President Obama has surrounded himself with say about him? How should we judge Obama? These selections demonstrate, at the very least, poor judgment, and at the most, an intent to radically alter this country. Not convinced?

Well, I’ve saved the worst for last: President Obama himself. In December of this year, Obama will travel to Copenhagen to sign a treaty that will explicitly cede U.S. sovereignty. Lord Christopher Monckton spoke on October 14, 2009 in St. Paul, where he described exactly how this will happen. And unless the people of this country rise up now, it will be too late to ever take it back. Our Consititution, our way of life for the last 230+ years, is about to radically change for the worse.

America, we didn’t listen to the warnings during the campaign. Now that he is President, are we going to start paying attention?

For Lord Chrisopher Monchton’s full speech, watch it here. Sign the petition opposing Cap and Trade here. Visit Global Climate Scam’s website.

So far, no film distributors or film festivals have been brave enough to show this film. So the producers/directors of the film “Not Evil, Just Wrong”, a husband wife tandem, aired it all over the world live on the Web. Credit Andrew Breitbart who threw in tremendous support promoting the event.

The movie was shown via ustream in people’s homes, churches and schools all over the globe simultaneously. It was truly amazing being part of such a unique event.

So what did the movie have to say? The film begins by disputing several claims that have been accepted as fact over the years. For example:

It recounts how a Judge in the High Court of London had found 9 significant flaws in Al Gore’s movie, “The Inconvenient Truth.” These flaws include that the last ten years have been the warmest in recorded history. In fact, temperatures are getting a little cooler.

The film delved into the ban on DDT, which was later banned mostly due to Rachel Carson and her book, Silent Spring. In fact, no connection has ever been found between the use of DDT and breast cancer. And despite heavy use in the 1940s in this country, there have been no extinction of any species of birds related to its use. Malaria was wiped out in the U.S., partly due to DDT, but it persists today in developing nations like Uganda and South Africa. There, millions and millions of men, women and children die from malaria.

The movie also discusses how the infamous “hockey stick” chart was disproved by a businessman and a mathematician.

After the movie ended, Ann McElhinney said in the live Q&A panel that teachers are teaching religion to children in schools all over America, the “Green Religion”. In an a previous post of mine on global warming, I pointed out that the scientific method should be employed to study our planet’s climate, but unfortunately, religious and nonsensical approaches are often used instead. Ann, a citizen of Ireland, was movingly patriotic when referring to our country, demonstrating an appreciation for the U.S. that was in stark contrast to the many apologies Obama makes to the world for America.

If you are concerned by the cost of President Obama’s stimulus bill, and the cost of the upcoming health-care legislation, then you will be floored when you delve into the Cap and Trade bill. Not only will companies like Goldman Sachs make money off of this bill, your electric bills are likely to increase by as much as 40%. But, that’s just the tip of the iceberg:

Those energy bill hikes in your home bill would also affect businesses as well. Their increased costs would be embedded in everything this country produces, so the prices of everything would go up.

Millions of manufacturing jobs would flow out of this country and into countries like India and China, which do not have these restrictions.

And because the rest of the world, which far exceeds the U.S. in population, would not follow these measures, implementing this legislation would have no overall affect on the CO2 produced globally.

So, I have to ask: What’s the point?

For those making a profit off of this, everything. But for the rest of us, it doesn’t make any sense.

Companies are alreay innovating on their own to be more “green,” so why create this complex stock exchange of carbon offsets when companies are already working on solutions themselves.

When I went to school, we learned that CO2 is a basic building block for life on this planet. We produce it every time we exhale, and plants absorb it returning O2 back into the environment. So far, scientific research has failed to find any harmful effects from the man-made CO2 released into our atmosphere.

Despite that, the EPA wants CO2 classified as a pollutant –yes, a pollutant –despite being a building block of life. The motivation is based on their desire to regulate CO2, an outcome of a Supreme Court case in 2005.

These are big stakes. As Americans, we cannot be led like sheep by those who use fallacious claims just to make profits. We need to follow the science, wherever that may lead us. The truth is, we may not ever truly understand all of the drivers behind our planet’s climate. But we should strive to do our best to learn all that we can without any political or economic bias.

What we should not do is blindly pass legislation that will forfeit our future as a self-reliant, independent nation of free, innovative citizens.

Three years in the making, with a budget of around $1 million, and no distributors or film festivals really interested in showing the movie, this one is destined to fail, right?

Let’s hope not. “Not Evil, Just Wrong” is important, important for our world, important for our individual financial futures, and important for proving that science is alive and well. In an era of squashing those that disagree with the Global Warming machine, film producer Phelim McAleer and his wife Ann McElhinney, who co-directed the film, hope to get a different voice heard.

In the face of such adversity, they are hoping to prevail by premiering their film on the web. Find out how to see it by visiting their website.

Phelim McAleer is not new to the debate. Recently, McAleer and Lou Dobbs discussed a rare Q&A session with Al Gore, in which the director clearly embarrassed the former Vice President. Here’s the Wall Street Journal’s take on the Q&A.

As I discussed in a previous post, our planet’s climate should be explored using Science, not strong arm tactics, fear and the dissemination of false information. We should be asking ourselves why is it so hard to voice opposing arguments on this issue? Why is this topic off limits to open, free debate? Maybe, it’s because there are those out there that see an opportunity to amass great wealth and power (i.e., Al Gore).

And just what happens when there is hard evidence to the contrary? Like for example, when Alan Carlin, a senior analyst in the EPA, argues that the science behind man-made global warming is inconclusive at best? It is forcibly silenced (references: Wall Street Journal, CNET News, and News Busters). Fortunately, there are those unwilling to stand on the sidelines and let this go unanswered. A 2008 study refuses to accept Al Gore’s statement that the “debate is over.” In the 14 page report, they detail how lopsided the debate has been and provide some excellent recommendations for future coverage.

It’s time we had all the facts. It’s time we were allowed to make up our minds, instead of being told what to think. Take some time out of your day. Gather friends and family around a PC. Give yourself the chance to make up your own mind.
